When you visit this summer, you may want to spice up your vacation with some home-town fun – and I’m not talking about cruising Bunk’s!! B’burg has evolved exponentially over the last 50 years. There is so much to do here that it has often been named in the Top 10 on many lists. Just recently, it made the “Top Ten Places to Retire in the US.” For those who live close by, here are a few things to do in the next month:
1. The tulips have arrived early in the Skagit Valley. Tourists come from all over the world to visit the Tulip Festival in Mt. Vernon. (Which, by the way, was started with the urging of businessman John Ferlin, husband of our very own Mimi Brooks Ferlin.) Continue reading
