Once again, we regret to advise you of the passing of another classmate, Jane Veratt Bradley. Her obituary appears below as well as on our “In Fond Memory…” page. Our condolences go out to Jane’s family and friends.
Jane Ann Bradley (Veratt) passed away unexpectedly on 5/23 in her home in Federal Way. Jane was born 5/19/47 to long time Bellingham residents Chester & Mary Veratt. She grew up in Bellingham and graduated Shuksan High School in 1965. She then moved to Seattle to become a dental assistant; shortly after meeting Rich. They were married in the summer of 69. They built a home in Federal Way and raised their children in it. As the children grew Jane stayed busy making crafts of all kinds and selling them, she was creative and always was finding new and unique outlets to express it. As the kids grew she went to work as a teacher’s assistant, and also worked with children with disabilities, her compassion and love knew no bounds. Now reunited with her father Chester, Jane leaves behind: her husband Rich, daughters Carin & Katie, grandsons Aiden & Elijah, mother Mary, Sister Lisa, and niece Alisha. Life celebration 2 p.m. June 10th at the Dumas Bay Center in Federal Way. Family asks that you wear bright colors in honor of the brightness Jane brought to our lives.
